Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer who has gained recognition for her stellar performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. Her film Piano earned her an Oscar. The talented actress began her career as an actor on the stage with an array of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. As a child, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth class production. Her mumps left her blind and deaf in the one ear. However, she refused to let that hinder her progress as an actor. The college she attended was drama before moving between Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dreams. Hunter was stuck in the lift of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They worked together to write Broadway Crimes of the Heart that marked the debut of Hunter on Broadway. Hunter made the move to Los Angeles and tried to get film roles. The film, Swing Shift, she landed a role as a support. Since then, she has appeared in several films, TV series and movies over the course of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was also awarded an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
